The pricest part of the lamb here is the chops. They go for about $7 a pound. The rest of the lamb, even out of season is about $3.99 to $4.99 a pound. And I consider that high. Most of our lamb comes from NZ or Austrailia. Spring lamb around Easter is grown in America. The imported lamb at that time is more costly. I guess they want to encourage "Buy America."
