Silicone bakeware?

I think it depends on what you're trying to bake.

In the past couple of weeks America's Test Kitchen had a review on bakeware for making bread and the stoneware was down on the bottom of the list because of browning issues (it didn't).

My daughter-in-law does a lot of baking, especially for school functions, and she likes the silicone for muffins/cupcakes - and the silicone mats for cookies. She prefers the heavyweight dull aluminum pans for cakes - and dark metal for breads.

At the moment muffins and mini-loaf pans. I'd like to wrap up baskets of food for friends and family. Cookies wouldn't be a bad idea either though...
