Sirloin Steak in Fridge

Bought sirloin steak last sat afternoon put it in the fridge and then completely forgot about it (busy busy busy). Would it still be ok to use tomorrow, 5 days later?

What's the sell by date and what does it smell like? It's all about how fresh it was when it was put in the case at the market. If you got it the minute it was put out, you should be fine, if it had been there for a couple of days, I'd give it the smell/pet test. My cats won't go near bad steak (I know totally unscientific). If it's within its date and doesn't smell bad, it should be fine.

It's really only 4 days and I'd eat them unless they smell bad.

I'm a "smell test" girl myself, but my husband won't eat anything that's been in there for more than a day.
