Here's how this works. I'll start by posting lyrics to a song. If you know the song, you answer and post lyrics to another song, and we'll see if someone can guess what it is.

Here's an example:

There must be some kind of way outta here
Said the joker to the thief
There's too much confusion
I can't get no relief

These are of course lyrics to All Along the Watchtower, by Jimi Hendrix. Now, of course anyone could find the answers by simply entering the text into google, and no one will know if you cheated... but you'll know!

Okay? So, without further ado, I'll start us off with an easy one:

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Eleanor Rigby - The Beatles

Next song:
If you want a lover
I'll do anything you ask me to
And if you want another kind of love
I'll wear a mask for you

I'm Your Man - The late, great Leonard Cohen

Next:

Except roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair
Well the night's busting open, these two lanes will take us anywhere
We got one last chance to make it real
To trade in these wings on some wheels
Climb in back, heaven's waiting down on the tracks

Here's an example:

There must be some kind of way outta here
Said the joker to the thief
There's too much confusion
I can't get no relief

These are of course lyrics to All Along the Watchtower, by Jimi Hendrix.
Actually, All Along the Watchtower is a Bob Dylan song, also performed by Jimi Hendrix.

Except roll down the window and let the wind blow back your hair
Well the night's busting open, these two lanes will take us anywhere
We got one last chance to make it real
To trade in these wings on some wheels
Climb in back, heaven's waiting down on the tracks
Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen

Next up:
I can make you find your power
I can make you lose your fear
I can make your body do some very magical things
I'll make your inhibitions all disappear

Making Love Out of Nothing at All - Bonnie Raitt

(took me a while to remember this one!)

Here we go...

God said to Abraham, kill me your son
Abe said man, you must be putting me on
God said no
Abe said what?
God said you can do what you want Abe, but
the next time you see me you better run

Making Love Out of Nothing at All - Bonnie Raitt

(took me a while to remember this one!)
It was Bonnie Tyler, not Raitt.Making Love Out of Nothing at All was first recorded by Air Supply and that verse went "I can make the runner stumble, I can make the final block, I can break every tackle at the sound of the whistle, I can make all the stadiums rock" but was rewrtitten by the original writer/composer, Jim Steinman specifically for her, I am assuming because she wouldn't be much of a football player.

Highway 61 - Bob Dylan

She thinks of him
And so she dresses in black
And though he'll never come back
She's dressed in black

Baby's in Black by the Beatles

Here's one I related to when it was first released:

Prima donna Lord you really should have been there
Sittin' like a princess perched in her electric chair
And it's one more beer and I don't hear you anymore

Someone Saved My Life Tonight - Elton John

I kept thinking the song was something else until it played on the radio!

How about this one:
She spends her life through pleasing up her man
She feeds him dinner or anything she can
She cries alone at night too often
He smokes and drinks and don't come home at all

Only Women Bleed - Alice Cooper

(Damn good tune!)

Another:

Can't help about the shape I'm in
Can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
Don't ask me what I think of you
Might not give the answer that you want me to

Oh Well - Fleetwood Mac (I have to admit that I had to look up the song title, but knew it was FM)

Try:
I just can't believe
The loveliness of loving you
I just can't believe it's true
I just can't believe
The wonder of this feeling, too
I just can't believe it's true

Sugar Sugar by the Archies, a group that never really existed

But one of the studio musicians that made up the Archies had a fairly successful career. Here is one of his hits:

Touching you so warm and tender
Lord, I feel such a sweet surrender
Beautiful is the dream that makes you mine

Rock Me Gently - Andy Kim (I wore that 45 out.......but did not know he was part of the Archies.)

Michael Rennie was ill
The Day the Earth Stood Still
But he told us where we stand
And Flash Gordon was there
In silver underwear
Claude Rains was The Invisible Man

Science Fiction Double Feature from The Rocky Horror Picture Show!

I LOVE that movie!

Well, I dreamed I saw the silver spaceships lying
In the yellow haze of the sun
There were children crying and colors flying
All around the chosen ones

I believe it's Neil Young's After the Goldrush. It took me as while to get it, and I had the album, in vinyl!

Try this one:
"Must be because I had a flu for Christmas
And I'm not feeling up to par
It increases my paranoia
Like looking at my mirror and seeing a police car"

Almost Cut My Hair - Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young

Try this fun car trip song:

Every night I grab some money and I go down to the bar
I got my buddies and a beer, I got a dream, I need a car
You got me begging on my knees, c'mon and throw the dog a bone
A man he doesn't live by rock 'n roll and brew alone
