We were out doing errands.
I had spoken to my Mother the other day
and asked her if she wanted anything ...
Mom: Oh no dear, I don't need anything at all
Moi: No, Mom, what do you
WANT
Mom: Oh well, if it's no trouble, I really would like some more books to read, I'm all out and you know, they have us all still in lock-down here at
THE HOME
*sigh*
Mom lives in a really nice Senior Community, where she lives in the Independent garden apartments ... but she doesn't drive, so there you are...
which is why every so often I ask her what do you want Mom
So, DH and I went forth to the different thrift stores in our area to find inexpensive books for Mom.
I got her 10 paperbacks at 50¢ each ... SCORE!!!
I'll pack them up and send them off to her by USPS Book Rate, about $6 ...
Oh, wait, dinner!
Well, during our travels today, we went to a family owned and run Italian joint for late lunch, so we're still pretty full ...
DH had a 10" Cheese Pizza and a side Salad, I had a Panini with grilled Chicken Breast, roasted Red Peppers, fresh Spinach, Kalamata Olive Spread and Fontina Cheese, with a side of vinegar based Slaw.
All very yummy!
