I tried a new recipe tonight for Ukrainian mushroom soup. It was tasty but a bit too thick. I called for two russet potatoes. Next time I think I'll use just one.

Pan roasted chicken thighs, pilaf and peas.

SO has food hangups. Rice must have peas to mix in, any pork dish must be accompanied by applesauce . . .

We ordered burgers. They were really good. We also tried out an appetizer called Devils on horseback. It was bacon wrapped dates, with goat cheese and served with a side of hot sauce. The dates were too sweet and there wasn't enough goat cheese to counter the sweetness. it was interesting, but we won't bother another time.

We had hot dogs and potato salad.

Banana cake was dessert.
