Ireland court rules that Subway's sandwich bread is not legally bread

That's sort of like here in Quebec. We pay two value added taxes: GST, which is Federal, and QST, which is provincial. Food is not taxable for GST/QST purposes. Snacks are. If you buy unsalted nuts, they are food. If you buy salted nuts, they are considered a snack. Also, cakes are considered food, for some reason. So is a dozen doughnuts. If you are buying sweet bakery items, in single servings they are taxable, unless you buy at least a half a dozen. :rolleyes:
