I need only a small amount of tapioca flour. Can't get it where I live. Don't want to buy online because I need so little. Can I put tapioca (pearl or instant) into my grinder and turn it into a powder?

I do this with instant potato flakes, on the advice from the King Arthur bakers, to make potato flour.

Seems as though I could do the same thing with tapioca. Your thoughts/advice?

Kate E I do this all the time in my small coffee grinder i use for spice grinding. When ever I make apple sauce I thiken it up with ground instant tapioca flour and it works great
so go for it
