14 Butts

I just crammed 14 butts into an 18" WSM and a UDS.

Crammed is the operative word, like to see a picture. Are these all for you or is it a cook for someone else.

Every year our Church takes a youth group to a convention.
I have smoked butts and reheated in the hospitality room for the last 5 years or so. This year I am smoking about 100 lbs of pork.

That will make about 50lbs of pulled pork. That will feed 180 people or so.

I always over estimate how many people I will be feeding.

Did you have to back hand the fire out of any of the smart mouth tennie boppers?

I used two cookers. I did get 6 on the WSM.

Kids were not to bad BW.

Good news on the kids..I knew they was nice..just checking. What did you do with all that grease?

When it's cool like it is now. The solidified grease comes out real easy with a spatula .

Ok..gotcha. Think the most butts I ever scalded at once was ten. Seems like I carried off a pickle bucket full or two or renderings. Hey I learned somthng about pork. Do not shut the door and walk away in hot weather. After about ten days it smell like a body in there. Briskets dont seem to do that. Do bugs like pigs better than cows maybe? It was horrible..lol.
