I was at the local grocery store looking at the meats as usual and I noticed that this store had several nice racks of 3 1/2 down spares. I have never smoked them before ( cuz I have never seen any at the stores until tonight ) but I have heard that they are the ones to use for comps or when a higher quality product is desired.
These racks appear to be " healthier " in apperance. Less fat, smaller over all in size, no big paddle bones. I may have to give these a try.
Anyone compared the different all natural versions of ribs ?
Here the 3 1/2 up sells for $1.69 lb at the grocery store. Sam's probably $1.59 lb
3 1/2 downs are $2.69 lb and packed individualy.
