Thank youRecipe: You will need,
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 1/4 cups water, divided
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp of extract, I used orange, but you can use whatever you like
sprinkle gelatin in 1/2 cup of water and let stand for 5 mins
add sugar & 3/4 cups of water to a small pan and bring to a boil, constantly stirring
reduce heat, add gelatin & simmer for 5 mins
add extract and food coloring ( for orange I used 2 drops each of yellow & red)
Pour into a greased 8"x8" square pan, cover & refrigerate for 3 hours.
Loosen candy edges & turn on to a sugared cutting board, cut into squares and roll in sugar
let stand uncovered for a few hours until sides are dry. Done
