This year I am growing a melonette-type winter squash for the first time.This variety is named Jaspee de Vendee.
What is a melonette? It is, I am told, a hard winter squash that is so sweet you don't even have to cook the darn thing. You can eat it like a melon. In a couple of months, we shall see.
In any case, have any of you gardeners ever grown or tasted this variety?
