12 medium size meatballs and sick of the usual tomato based recipes, any ideas?
BBQ Meatballs:
2 cups ginger ale
1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce (I like KC Masterpiece)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Combine ginger ale, barbecue sauce, salt and pepper in a large skillet. Bring to a boil. Add meatballs and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are done (40 to 45 minutes).
That sounds excellent! Pineapple and teriyaki - heaven!!I love meatballs !!
When I want a snack of appetizer I put KikkomanTeriyaki
Baste & Glaze in a small bowl and roll the cooked meat-
balls in it. I place the coated meatballs on a foil covered
broil pan and cook at 400 degrees, turning when each side
begins to bubble.
you could skewer these with pineapple in between and
cook the same. Cook down the canned pineapple juice and
some of the glaze combined to make a sauce and serve
over rice. Add minced garlic and ground ginger and you
have an original.

I like meatballs in pita pockets with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, diced onions, & sliced cucumbers w tzatziki sauce (yogurt/dill/lemon juice) drizzled over the top.
