What do you put on your hamburgers?

As a general rule..

Bacon
Pickles
Ketchup
mustard
Sometimes Mayo

And cheese - although I prefer stronger flavored cheeses, like cheddar to milder ones like swiss. One trick is to go with a slice of cheddar and a slice of Muenster - that way it's nice and gooey, but you still have the cheddar to stand up to the taste of the burger.

I love mushrooms, just generally not on my burgers.

I like yellow mustard, onions, mushrooms, american cheese, swiss cheese, pepperjack cheese, mayo, and lettuce on mine. And the hamburger has to be well done. For some reason, even though I'll have my steak cooked to a medium/medium rare I have to have my hamburger well done or I can't eat it. Weird, huh?

I don't think it's weird, as I'm the same way. Undercooked ground beef is how E. Coli gets spread.

Personally, I like mustard and ketchup, mixed together, or a Horseradish sauce, or BBQ sauce. Lettuce, pickles, cheese, bacon, and sometimes sauteed onions. Toasted bun, please.
