As a general rule..
Bacon
Pickles
Ketchup
mustard
Sometimes Mayo
And cheese - although I prefer stronger flavored cheeses, like cheddar to milder ones like swiss. One trick is to go with a slice of cheddar and a slice of Muenster - that way it's nice and gooey, but you still have the cheddar to stand up to the taste of the burger.
I love mushrooms, just generally not on my burgers.
