I'll start putting it together... cut the pie crust into sections big enough to fit around each pear. Wrap each pear in a section of pie crust, drizzle each with melted butter & bake at 350F(change this if you want, I'm just guessing here) until pie crust is golden brown.
How about...cut pie crust to fit tart tins. place pear half in each (drain) and pour custard around. bake until custard is almost set, sprinkle on nuts. serve hot with ice cream ...decorate with mint leaves soaked in vodka???
