a slice of apple and coconut cake, a cup of hot filter coffee, enjoying the silence and calmness of very early morning on the balcony :)

triple layer chocolate, caramel infused, triple layer cake with a light fluffy chocoalte/coffee icing. There's a new bakery in town, had to check it out. Pretty great breakfast with a cup of coffee.

Grilled cheese with havarti & provolone cheese on my homemade potato bread that I shared with Cocoa, and a wholewheat pancake topped with blueberry jam.

I was going to go out for breakfast with Mark, but I'm still stuffed from last night. In a few hours, I might have a small bowl of cereal with fresh blueberries or half a grapefruit.

Some are hard and some are soft. Bartlett (I think) are the soft ones. Those are the green ones. Bosc pears are brown and they are the hard ones. Or is it the other way around. I can never remember. Someone help! I am having a senior moment. But whichever ones are in your market, and they are hard, then you want the other ones. Ask the produce manager if they wil be getting in the other ones. Different times of the year for each one to be harvested. I love pears.
...

It's all the different kinds of pears, Bosc, Bartlett, Anjou, names I can't remember.

Well, at least it isn't everywhere in NA. I was afraid it was a trend.

We went out for breakfast after mass. I had 1 egg OH with hash browns & a sausage patty & a couple of hotcakes with coffee.

DELICIOUS homemade whole grain pancakes with real 100 % maple syrup. DELICIOUS Bacon & some kind of kielbasa style sausage that was also very good.

Today (25Mar12) will be potato, Italian sausage, bell pepper, pepperoncini, mozzerella and parmigiana fritatta, toasted sourdough with butter and peach preserves, and peach mimosas

Sometimes I forget that grapefruit is a citrus. Instead like the dummy I can be, I stick with oranges. I am going to write down on my notepad right now, GRAPEFRUIT for my grocery list. It is a safer fruit for me to eat. Oddly enough, there are some medications that if you are taking them, you can't eat grapefruit. Will have to check first. Thanks for the reminder VB. Will look into tangerines also. I love the smell of citrus, but it can raise your sugar level. Hmmm. Now you have me thinking. It is Sunday, a day of rest. Now I have to use my brain. Geesh. Oh yes. I also have two bags of frozen blueberries. I should be eating them.

After 18 years on Cardiziem I can now eat grapefruit. Yeah, Not, I would like to go back to those days before my recent health issues. I love grapefruit, but I could give it up again.

No grapefruit for me, either...mine is Lipitor. I had a Pharmacy Consult tell me it was okay to have a little grapefruit juice, every once in a while. My problem is, I start drinking it and I can't stop until it's all gone. Easier to just leave it alone.

I go through spurts with grapefruit. I like to change the fruit for the week occasionally. Oranges, on the other hand, I love to always have around. They are my favorite fruit, but I never met one I didn't like. Sometimes I eat too much in a day/week, and that leads to heartburn. :furious:
