About Competetions

Me and my buddy and my step dad are wanting to start going to competetions next year.

Got a whole lot of practicing to do before that, plus Ive only done one
brisket.

My question is how many comps usually have a whole hog entry?

My step dad has done quite a few hogs, but with the traditional way on the ground.

We have been lookin at some trailer pits that are big enough for whole hog, any recomendations for non off-set?

Memphis in May does whole hog.

KCBS does NOT do whole hog.

KCBS does NOT do whole hog.

KCBS does do whole hog in some competitions.

They have more than what is listed, but this is a good start. They only do whole hog.

New Holland, PA KCBS contest has a whole hog category, but it does not count in the overall score for the competition, it is a separate category.

Ok so it sounds like its not to common in the KCBS, any one ever mess with a stumps platnium series?

Aint seen one but do play compooter a lot. Neva heard nobody bad mouthing any form of a Stumps. Platinum sounds like the top o the line so to speak. Would buy it this evening if I was you.
