Baking Puff Pastry Question

Do we usually use just the bottom heat of the oven to bake puff pastry, or do we use *both* the top & bottom heat? Please let me know. Thanks!! :) :)

You use the bake position not broil. That would be the lower portion of your oven.

DON'T use both. Only use the bottom (bake), otherwise the pastry will burn, especially if using an egg white wash. (I've made this mistake a few times...)
