No. They makea a paste out of white beans to use in several different dishes, but never serve them whole. The only whole beans I know about in Japanese cuisine is soy beans, a.k.a. edimame. They use red lentils to make a curry.

interesting that they don't cook legumes whole except for edamame.

Japan is a relatively small island nation. They don't have a lot of space for growing legumes, but they have a lot of coastline. Traditionally they got most of their protein from seafood and soybean products instead.

I've seen succotash made with edamame instead of lima beans,, if you like succotash.
