I have a Bamix Pro with the long shaft, which I've had for about 20 years. It's pricier than most, but it is a workhorse! Never gets hot - not even warm. Plows through anything I ask it to do. The body & shaft are both fully enclosed/sealed, so it's pretty much waterproof. The long shaft lets me use it in a deep pot wwithout any problems. At the time I got it, it was about $100, but I think it's substantially more than that now.

If you want the best, and money is no object, get a Bamix.
But even at that price, after lasting 20 years, it sounds reasonable. Do they come with attachments? I had a very quick look at their website and forgot to check about attachments. I will seriously consider getting one of these when my Cuisinart IB eventually dies. Heck, they have free shipping to Canada on orders over U$150.00

Do you have the garters?
Those garters come in handy to hang the stockings by the sink!
I have garter belts and some old corsets that have garters. I also have some sturdy plastic hangers that have clips. I use those a lot for hanging hand laundry in the bathroom.
