ISO help using (garage sale) electric grill

Okay I bought an electric grill at a garage sale with NO instructions!! What shelf should I cook a pork loin and on Low, med, or high? I found the 1/2 hour/ lb. THank

I have no experience with an electric grill. Have you looked online for a manual?

If it's like mine, grill on high shelf. Otherwise it will burn before being adequately cooked (Min. internal temperature 145*F).

I would cook on med. and use a thermometer. 1/2 hour a pound seems way too long. A 3 pound loin will be done in about 30 to 40 minutes

Ditto, That's what a great thermopen would be good for.

Or a thermo probe from Thermoworks

Stick the probe in and watch the temp.
