6 Strips of thick cut bacon, sliced to 1" lengths, fried semi-crisp...
A Vidalia onion, skinned and sliced to rings, blanched with the bacon...
3 tablespoons minced/chopped garlic, added to the bacon and rice...
a chopped green pepper, into the mix...(or hot peppers, if you're Texan!)
A "large" can ( 1/3 litre) of canned beans, possibly with kidney beans...the store-bought BBQ variety?...
a half cup of your favourite BBQ sauce
a cup of apple sauce
a half cup of maple syrup or brown sugar
a sprinkling of cayenne pepper, to taste...
mix well!
heat appropriately while continuing to mix...
