Good Morning! Just found this site and got signed up right away. My wife and I enjoy cooking and have just taken up pressure canning. We just retired and have moved into an agricultural community where there is always lots of left over veggies and they harvest, so we are learning canning. Right now we have just under 100 quarts of string beans, tomatoes and carrots. I am sure we will enjoy this forum. Thanks. Fred & Jill

Welcome to DC Fred and Jill!

I have never pressure canned but love reading about the experiences of people who do. Congrats!

Welcome from the SE coast of Florida. The growing season down here is the fall and winter months, maybe into Spring. Right now it is way too hot for most things to grow. Mostly tropical fruits. The largest profit generating crop in Florida, is a little north and west of us and it does thrive in summer, sugar cane.
