Vittles tonight are fresh string beans cooked with bacon and new potatoes, fresh corn, tomato slices, green onion and delicious corned bread. I was sad when I realized I was full and could not eat more.
We had pizza from a local restaurant, then went and soft-serve is cream from the local ice cream shop across the street from the pizza place. Don't want to think about my blood sugar tonight.
I'm dealing with postdrome from yesterday's migraine, so I wasn't up for much foofing in the kitchen. We had store bought pizzas from the freezer. Not wonderful, but not bad. We got hungry again a few hours later, so we finished off the Southwest inspired bean salad with corn. We both really like that salad.
i had a vegetable stir fry (steamed really) with garlic sauce and brown basmati rice, twice yesterday. I'm missing our meal sized salads which I'll make today.
Pita smeared with labneh, sprinkled with za'atar and topped with cucumbers, tomatoes and sliced feta. Greek gigante beans in seasoned tomato sauce and a piece of pan-fried halloumi with za'atar and lemon juice. Peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert.
