Sausage, pepper and onion subs with homemade giardiniera.

We saw a news story about an
"established in 1947" drive in burger joint on its last legs because of urban renewal.. Its now like its on an island, surrounded by new construction.. Only 2 owners in 70 years..

Hunted it down and had burgers, fries and milkshakes..

Perhaps not a romantic V Day dinner but, the nostalgia was strong as we remembered cruising our fave drive in in my 51 Merc back in 1957..
