how is this recipe? can i replase the almond butter with tahini

I agree - sounds good, and before I scanned down on the recipe, it popped into my mind that the the almond butter or tahini could be a substitute for the raw cashews, used in many Indian dishes. Try it - I'm sure it will be good!

came out tasty. i bought raw almond butter at the end.
i've used half the amount of crushed tomatoes as i didn't want it sour.

so either cashews butter or almond butter work the same?

Cashew butter has a little less fat than Almond butter, not a big difference.

I made this recipe above w/o oil, nut butter, or coconut.
48% of the calories come from the oil, nut butter, and coconut milk. This means I can choose to eat two servings of it for the same calories. :)

I only used 1 T tahini. We don't use oils. We only sparingly use nut and seed butters, or like tahini. We didn't have cilantro in the house/yard, yet this year. I ate it with veggie brown basmati rice. I'd make it again it was very good. It was spicy but not hot. I did use serrano peppers in it.
