I made a Danish berry tart / pie. I used haskap berries. It's a really simple recipe, but very good. Today, there were some technical issues while making it and it was not photogenic, but it was delicious. I served it with sweetened crème fraiche.
When you write "white wheat", is that a white bread loaf or a loaf made with white whole wheat?Made a white wheat loaf this morning. Bread machine 2lb loaf but baked in the oven. Came out pretty good. Picture later.
Once again, I have to ask. When you write "white wheat", do you mean white flour made from wheat or do you mean white whole wheat flour?View attachment 63909 View attachment 63910
Crumb was great, crust was great, personally taste still a bit too whole wheat but certainly acceptable. Bit of an old agers overhang!Perhaps I'll eventually find my other loaf pans in storage and make two slightly smaller loaves. White Wheat with partial Whole Wheat.
It looks like mostly white flour to you? Maybe it's because we're looking at it on monitors. That looks like the colour of bread that I get when I use 100% stone ground whole wheat flour. I have never used (or even seen) white whole wheat flour. It looks like it has mostly white flour, with some WW flour added. When I used white wheat berries (I bought 35 lb buckets of that and rye berries, at the beginning of the pandemic) to grind my own WW flour, the bread was still considerably darker than that, when 100% white WW.
It is whole wheat made from a variety of whole wheat berries that are white. It is a hard red winter wheat. I use about 1/3 whole wheat white flour and 2/3rds whole wheat flour in my breads. It's 100% whole wheat flour, and is not bleached. Just a different variety of wheat berry, like a soft whole wheat flour is made from yet a different wheat berry.Once again, I have to ask. When you write "white wheat", do you mean white flour made from wheat or do you mean white whole wheat flour?
As to what kind of flour you used, no. I still don't know if you bought wheat flour that is white or if it was white whole wheat flour. I have come across too many things that try to imply that they are whole wheat by writing "wheat". But, most of the white flour in the supermarket is refined wheat flour. It doesn't have the bran or the germ. But, it was made from wheat. Okay, rice flour is usually white, but the white one isn't whole grain either.LOL, so taxy, you will sleep wiser tonight, no?

I don't think you are trying to hide anything, but you weren't being clear. If it said "white whole wheat", then it's whole wheat. OTOH if, as you wrote,Well, as said, bag is gone. As flour was consumed I would reduce the size of the container. Actually I'm remembering the size of the first container was a floor flip top, so it must have been 40 k. was darn heavy, but for some reason easier to manhandle than the 40 k of chicken or horse feed.
I just used the last of my 20 k bag of White wheat flour. That is all it says.
Did you notice that the article kept referring to "whole white wheat"?
